For many, the word “business plan” seems complicated and mysterious. To allay fears, we can call it an action plan, a guide, a program, etc.The practice of implementing business plans shows that a business plan helps avoid both costly and time-consuming mistakes.
However, drawing up a successful business plan is necessary for starting a business – a written plan and calculations show whether the planned venture can make ends meet, at least on paper.
Since starting a business takes up all of your time, at least in the early years, it would be wise to sit down again and consider your goals and desire to devote yourself to entrepreneurship before starting to implement the business plan.

What You Will Learn in this Course
Legal Aspects of Starting a Business ( Legal form “drives” the types of costs / expenses/ tax and other social security obligations to be detailed in a Business Plan )
Understand the importance of selecting the right legal structure for a business(FIE, OU and or MTU) and how it determines liability, capital requirements
Be able to identify the necessary steps to officially register a businesses with Estonian Business Register, VAT registration ( required or not ), Where to Register and Set up Costs.
Business Plan Preparation ( for Service, Product, Online businesses ) - We will provide a Ready to Use Business Plan Template for all individual participants so that they “really” benefit and can apply the learnings in their Entrepreneurship Project.
The Executive Summary ( Problem Statement, Proposed Solution, Market Size, initial prelim Feasibility Study )
SWOT/ PESTEL Analysis
Sources of Funding (Capital Structure, Working Capital Management, Grants, Loans, Savings, Personal Network, Incubators – Accelerators, others)
Marketing - Sales and Advertising, E Commerce, Website, Online and Offline outreach to customers
Financial Projections for 1 to 3 years ( Income Statement, Balance sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
Key Policies and Procedures ( HR, Cybersecurity )
Impact Assessment – Sustainability, UN SDG Goals, Invest in Estonia Key Focus areas
Key Milestones and Success Indicators
Mentoring Session for Course Participants for their specific Queries, Questions, complete assistance and review of their business plan prepared
- 1. Participants will have an understanding of Business Plan Preparation - its layout, key sections, template for products/ services / virtual online businesses
- 2.Participants will have an understanding of Importance of Deciding about the Legal Form of Business to be incorporated and how it impacts their Tax, Accounting, Marketing, Reporting and other direct, indirect Costs and Obligations ( FIE, OU, MTU ) , Self Employed ( freelance/ home based business ), For Profit and Social Entrepreneurship
- 3. Participants will have a Ready Business Plan for their individual Entrepreneurship Project at the end of the course as a "Tangible. Practical, Applied Entrepreneurial Skills" takeaways for completion of their Entrepreneurship Project
- 4. Participants will be provided Business Plan Excel based template with additional knowledge resources like checklists, types of direct and indirect costs, expenses, income, revenue and other business related expenses so that they can use it in future as well
✅ The grading of the course is non-differentiated (pass/fail).
📋 The prerequisite for passing the course is completing all Multiple Choice Questions ( Simple Quiz with one correct answer - Weekly ).
🎥 Online class recordings of this course will be made available after each class.
👀 Participating in all online classes is not required for passing the course, but the course grade cannot be "Pass" if the student participates in fewer than half of the online classes.
👨🏫 The teacher can set additional criteria for passing the course.
<p>As per student demand i will also have student office hours if needed to answer any questions, queries in regard to their Entrepreneurship Project ( all phases and aspects of Start Your Business, Grow Your Business, Expand Your Business, Green Businesses and Businesses for Participants with any Visible and or Invisible Disabilities )</p>
